Who is Yvonne Saldate- Auld ?

Hi there! I am so excited to be creating this web-site I cannot begin to tell you. As stated in the opening page this whole site is a labor of love and I absolutely love shopping (see my credit card bill...No don't). I am sure you know what I mean.

I love Tucson almost as much as I love shopping. I am a native of Tucson. I attended Salpointe High School. I can remember shopping in Tucson as a little girl.
Yes I was raised in a shopping family big time. I remember getting pulled out of school to go with my Mom and Grandmother to the sales at Korby's. I don't know if many of you will remember this store on Speedway. I truly have been shopping in Tucson for many years and boy has it changed!

I have lived in Tucson most of my life. I have two children Alexandrina 17, and Bella 16. The girls  help keep me up on fashions for young girls. I met my husband Allan Auld  who is from Scotland but has lived in Tucson for over 10 years in June of 2002. We were married on December 28, 2002.

I must give a great deal of credit for this website to my husband Allan. Although I am the one who does the shopping and the writing for the website it is my husbands computer knowledge and work that sees to it that this site is up and running each day. All the pictures you see here and all the pages were scanned and designed by Allan. Allan is a soccer player and lover who eats and breathes his own website on his favorite soccer team www.killiefc.com.  I am so lucky to have his help, support and time when he could be working on his own site. Also a quick thanks to Barry Richmond for the site's wonderful banners. (Baz as he is known by is one of Allan's Killie cronies). Imagine a Scottish soccer player working on a fashion website. How's that for irony?

I really want to dispel the image of Tucson as a town with no shopping. I really think the shopping in Tucson is evolving and growing as I write this. You know Tucson is the 3rd fastest growing city in the country. We have people moving here from California in droves everyday. I  think that the market here is ready for more diverse and upscale shopping.

This is certainly reflected in the opening of so many shops in Casas Adobes. Along with those along River and Campbell. Time was when you could not find Scott Barnes  or Cargo products without going to  mailing off for  them. This is no longer true. I  want everyone to know there is no longer a reason to not to find what you need and want,  like  great designer dresses or great jeans. They are right here in Tucson .You just need to know where to find them. That's what I am here for.

There are more and more wonderful stores opening everyday and some great ones that have always been here but you may not have heard about. If you have any doubt about the Tucson  fashion market just check out Tiffany's that is coming here in Sept. I just love shopping in Arizona., Don't you?

As I have stated before this web-site is dedicated to shopping for anything a Fashionista in Tucson might need or want and we all know that is not limited to clothing and accessories. What about a great place for cut and color, that make you feel relaxed and welcome like old friends the moment you walk in? What about a wonderful place for Children's clothes that are truly unique? or perhaps the perfect places for the men in your life?

What Fashionista doesn't need perfect flowers?

Being in the southwest with all the Mexican food we cook, don't you want to know where to get the best tortillas? Would you like to know who some of the best Vets in town are?

Well I could go on and on and trust me I will so just check in with me whenever you can. Please E-mail me with ideas, suggestions and comments. I want so much to hear from you and get to know you!

Since the beginning of my website I've been fortunate enough to be interviewed for the Arizona Daily Star (see above).

I have also just started an alliance with the www.tucsonstyle.com network, and attended the 2004 Grammy Awards I am also writing a weekly column in The Explorer News and also in Tucson Bride and Groom and soon to be Scottsdale Bride and Groom.

I also have now found a great new radio home on "Shannon & Chandler" on Star
97.5 FM every Friday morning, between 7-8am.I can also be heard on stations all over the country.

TV had to be next, and I'm now hosting "The Fashionista Life" every Sunday on the WB at 10:00 PM ..... please tune in and see the very best of what Tucson has to offer to all the fashionista's out there!

Yvonne Auld!
