"Knock Offs"

When do you see very well dressed and proper women making deals for black market items? For a great knockoff designer handbag of course! It would seem that knockoffs would be something that fashionable women would have nothing to do with but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact it is the very women who may indeed have a couple of the genuine articles that is a fervent buyer of the knockoff. Why is that you ask? Well it is all part of the fantasy of fashion. While a woman may be able to afford one or maybe two genuine bags starting at $1,400.00 a woman can afford one of each of the designer bags she loves. Mixed in with other genuine designer articles no one would suspect this trendy woman to sport a fake but fake it is. In a era when we sport fake eye color, fake body parts and fake hair the whole fake purse thing seems to fit right in. There are those who say fashion isn't reality anyway.

There is of course the fact that the knockoff designer items make fashion available to everyone. That is my favorite part. Now you no longer have to do without the coveted purse of your dreams that can cost as much as a down payment for a house. However I should warn you that the so called good fakes are not exactly cheap. These can run from $80.00 to $500.00. For purses and luggage of course that can go up to $5,000.00. The other issue is that even if you are willing to part with such cash there may be a ridiculous waiting list. You see money isn't even enough! So I say buy the fake (as long as it's a good one). I have own both the authentic and the fake and I must say that in most instances I could not tell the difference. I did not expect this to be the case. I had refrained from the fakes thinking it would be some cheap joke. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the knockoffs. I was recently in a store here in town that carries the Louis Vuitton purses that I have the knockoff of. I honestly thought that they were selling fakes because there was no difference! It just did not occur to me the fakes are just so good.
